LED lights are getting more popular by the day in the photography and filming arena as they are a real pleasure to work with. As with most lighting setups, we want to diffuse and direct the light, but LED lights create quite a bit of spill light and it takes a lot of flagging to get them under control. Ideally we want to use a soft box on them, but finding a suitable one can be a challenge! In this tut I’ll show you how to modify a speedlight soft box into an LED light soft box, in just a few simple steps. The most important part of the setup is to have the right bracket. If you have a different one, then don’t go ordering the right one just yet. We are busy with part two of this tutorial, wherein I discuss a simple workaround for other brackets, actually a method that can work for almost any soft box setup.
I hope this tutorial helps!
